I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
